Vehicle Recovery
Stuck in mud, sand, off-road, or down a slope after an accident? Recovery work needs the right rig and the right approach. We've got both. Live dispatch 24/7.
Section 01 · Recovery work we do
Vehicle stuck and unable to drive out? We winch it back to solid ground using proper rigging. Trees, ditches, embankments, slopes.
SUV or truck stranded on a trail or backroad? We've recovered vehicles from spots where regular tow trucks can't get to.
Tires sunk in mud or buried in sand? We pull you out without tearing up the vehicle.
Vehicle off the road after a collision. Down an embankment, into a ditch, rolled. We work with first responders and insurance to recover it safely.
Section 02 · How recovery is different
Standard towing assumes the vehicle is on a road, drivable onto a flatbed, or hooked up with a wheel-lift. Recovery is what we do when none of that is possible.
That might mean:
Wrong approach = more damage. We bring the right rig, the right rigging, and 30+ years of combined experience reading the situation.
Section 03 · How recovery works
Where you are, what happened, what kind of vehicle. The more detail, the right rig we can send.
Look at the angles, the ground, the safest way to extract without more damage.
Set anchors and rigging. Pull the vehicle back to solid ground. Load and transport to your destination.
Section 04 · FAQ
More than a standard tow because it takes more equipment and more time. We give you a flat quote based on the situation you describe. No surprises.
Yes, in most cases. Tell us the GPS coordinates or trail name and we'll let you know whether our rig can get there. If we can't, we'll be straight with you.
The whole point of professional recovery is to minimize damage. Wrong rigging can pull a bumper off or crack a frame. We use the right anchor points and the right gear.
Yes. We coordinate with first responders, work around scene safety, and transport the vehicle to your insurance-approved shop or storage location.
We can right it before loading. Tell dispatch when you call so we send the right rig.
Section 05 · Why recovery is not towing
People are sometimes surprised that a recovery costs more than a tow of the same distance. The reason is that the towing part is the short bit at the end. Everything before it is the job.
A tow starts with a vehicle a truck can reach. A recovery starts with one that it cannot: off the shoulder, down a bank, in soft ground, on its side, or well off pavement entirely. The work is getting it back to where a normal tow can begin.
What that involves:
The risk is real and it is priced in. A winch line under load stores serious energy, and the equipment doing that work is expensive and rated for it. This is the part of the trade where cutting corners injures people.
What helps your quote: an accurate description. How far off the road, whether it is upright, how deep, whether the ground is soft or wet, and whether anything solid is within reach to anchor to. Photographs, if you can safely take them, are worth more than any description. Send those and you will get a realistic number rather than a cautious one.
