Section 01 · About Intrastate California Transport
California is our long-distance lane. We do intrastate transports daily: Sacramento ↔ Bay Area, Sacramento ↔ Los Angeles, Sacramento ↔ Central Valley, and anywhere in between. Flatbed transport keeps the vehicle off its wheels for the whole trip.

Section 04 · Moving a vehicle across California
Intrastate simply means the move starts and ends inside California, which sounds modest until you look at the state. It is roughly 800 miles top to bottom, and a vehicle move from Sacramento can be an hour and a half or the better part of a day.
Rough distances from Sacramento, so you can picture the job: the Bay Area is around 85 to 90 miles, Redding about 160, Fresno about 170, Bakersfield about 280, Los Angeles about 380, and San Diego about 500. Pricing on these runs is per mile against a minimum, and the rate per mile improves the further it goes.
Timing is governed by rules, not by optimism. Drivers have legal limits on hours behind the wheel, so a long southern run is not something to be squeezed into the end of a day. A same-day Bay Area move is routine. A same-day Los Angeles move depends entirely on what time the request comes in. We would rather give you a real delivery window than an appealing one.
Season matters more than people expect on the long routes. Winter tule fog through the Central Valley on I-5 and Highway 99 can reduce visibility to almost nothing. The Grapevine over Tejon Pass closes for snow, and when it does there is no quick way around it. Heading east into the Sierra on I-80 or Highway 50 brings chain controls. None of that stops the job, it changes the schedule, and we will tell you when it is a factor.
What to have ready when you call: full pickup and delivery addresses rather than city names, a contactable person at each end, whether the vehicle runs, whether it rolls and steers, and where the keys will be.
Plenty of these moves have nothing to do with a breakdown. Cars bought or sold out of the area, a move, an auction pickup, a project car finally going to the shop that will finish it.
